I had rarely gone to the Gold Coast or Surfers Paradise. It wasn’t much more than paddocks, a beach and a few streets of houses and motels when I last went there. The first time I went to Sea World on the Gold Coast, I was probably only six years old. Some of the other attractions along the spit, didn’t make it, but I think Sea World did because it was able to grow and evolve, and took some risks too. I am looking forward to seeing polar bears.
